COMMUNITY ADVENTURE PROGRAM
The Community Adventure Program offers an amazing summer experience by creating safe and fun filled days for ages six to fourteen.
Operating out of the state of the art Near North Enviro-Education Centre in Sundridge, the program is centred around core values of respect, teamwork, and appreciation for the environment. Activities include swimming, sports, arts & crafts, games, canoeing, and environmental education.
New skills and activities are coming to the Community Adventure Program in 2024! Week long specializations will be available in a number of areas. Cumulative programming will allow children who attend multiple weeks to develop skills and activities of their choice - they will progress through levels of accomplishment to build knowledge, skills, and confidence in the outdoors week after week. We will also be offering new choice activities to encourage independence throughout the day.

2024 Program Costs:
Week Program: $230 per week
Specialty Program: $250 per week
Summer (8 weeks): $1600
Additional children from the same family are discounted $20 per week.
Exciting new options for 2024! Introducing out Specialty Options – tailor your summer experience like never before!
The program will still start at 8:30 and end at 3:30. Participants may elect to spend the afternoon, between 1 and 3:30, doing a special activity each afternoon for the week. The morning programs will remain the same with the regular CAP programming. There is an additional fee for these specialty options of $20 per week.
The options include Sailing, Kayaking, Clay Projects, Wood Crafts, Baking, Sports – archery, golf, and badminton, and Earth Education. These programs are open to all participants with the exceptions of kayak, sailing, and sports. Kayak and Sailing are for participants 10 and up that are able to swim, and Sports – archery, golf, and badminton, is for participants 9 and older. Life jackets are required kayaking and sailing.
CAP WEEKS 2024
Launched in the summer of 2017 and refined in further years, NNEEC is providing opportunities for employment and educating young leaders while providing an active, educational and fun day program. The program is a pilot project in developing new educational, economic and employment opportunities within a rural community.
